At 3pm, a cluster of strong thunderstorms over the northern part of Lake Pontchartrain is causing brief heavy rain and gusty winds. The Causeway was shut down due to these storms. They are moving N/NW slowly and will affect the Mandeville/Madisonville areas as well as southern Tangipahoa parish.
