Ron asks, "Do you think that disturbance will pose any more of a threat than a rainmaker?? Just being cautious."
Ron, the area of disturbed weather in the western Gulf of Mexico will be watched for any development. A Hurricane Hunter plane was canceled today from going out there. With high pressure building in from the east, it appears that IF anything were to develop, it would stay to our west as the area moves north. We may still get more rain and some may be heavy still over the next 2 days.

Rain chances will still stay high for the next 2 days due to the tropical moisture coming in from the Gulf of Mexico. Highs will be in the 80's to around 90 degrees. For the month of July, we have had about 4" of rain at Armstrong Airport as of early Monday morning. That puts us around .70" below normal which isn't so bad, but for the year we are running 20.16" below normal.
