Strong thunderstorms still possible this afternoon & evening. Rain chances going down to 40% for Tuesday and 20% for Wed & Thu. Look for mid 90's Wed & Thu with the feel like temperature between 100-110.

One tropical wave east of the Leeward Islands may be the next system to develop. Models have it staying mostly out of the Caribbean, but may affect the U.S. Virgin Islands as it makes it's way in the Atlantic. Still alot of time to watch this one.

Keep track of the Saint's Training camp forecast in our Detailed forecast. Jackson is not much cooler than New Orleans in the summer time. This summer though Jackson is wetter than New Orleans.

Jackson's average low temperature is 71. Average high is 92
New Orleans average low temperature is 74. Average high is 92.

Rainfall is a different story:
Jackson for July has 5.33" which is +.78" above normal.
Jackson for 2006 has 31.93" which is -3.19"

New Orleans for July has 4.86" which is -1.15" below normal.
New Orleans for 2006 has 18.44" which is -20.62"
