Rain chances over the next few days will be around normal 40% through the weekend. Any one day it may be higher or lower depending on the amoutn of thunderstorms developing. If you don't have rain, expect highs in the low to mid 90's with plenty of humidity. We are not expecting record heat even though it may feel like it with the humidity. FYI, the all time hottest temperature for Louisiana was on Aug 10, 1936 of 114 degrees at Plain Dealing, Louisiana. This is north of Shreveport near the state border. The hottest temperature for New Orleans was on Aug 30, 2000 of 103 at Audubon Park. A tropical wave in the eastern Caribbean shows no signs of organization. |
