(HAMMOND)---A Slidell man has been arrested and charged in connection with a case where he allegedly beat two victims to the point they had to be taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office. Tangipahoa Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that 21-year-old Lance Washington has been charged with two counts of second degree battery. The incident occurred on Friday, March 6, on University Avenue in Hammond. The sheriff says that the victims told deputies that Washington attacked them for no apparent reason, apparently causing severe facial injuries to both victims. Sheriff Edwards says that both victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. In the meantime, he adds that other witnesses confirmed the incident as told by the victims. Deputies then located Washington and took him into custody. |
