following individuals appeared in court on March 30, 2009, before Judge Doug Hughes, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of driving while intoxicated and received the following sentences:

Christopher Chandler, Tangipahoa, LA, age 28 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victim's impact panel, and pay a fine of $500.00 plus court costs.

Clinton Clay, Terrytown, LA, age 47 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence as suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victim's impact panel, and pay a fine of $500.00 plus court cost.

Jerry Collier, Hammond, LA, age 48 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Gregory Williams, Amite, LA, age 57 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (1st offense - 2 counts) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail on each count with sentences to be served concurrently.
