(ROSELAND)---The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding two suspects who took part in a home invasion incident in the Roseland area. The incident occurred in the evening hours of Friday, January 2, in the 12300 block of Steptoe Road in Roseland. Tangipahoa Sheriff Daniel Edwards says that witnesses told deputies that two black males knocked on the door and said they needed help with their car. Deputies learned that when the homeowner opened the door, the suspects produced handguns and demanded to come in, where the suspects then took a variety of shotguns and rifles, coins, and cash. No one inside the house was injured. The sheriff says that the first suspect is described as a black male in his early thirties, 6'2" tall, weighing 250-300 pounds, wearing a dark coat and baggy blue jeans. The second suspect is a black male in his twenties, 5' tall, weighing 155 pounds, and wearing a brown jacket. Sheriff Edwards says that if anyone knows anything about the suspects or their whereabouts, he or she should call TPSO Det. Dayle Athmann at 985.902.2088 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 800.554.5245. |
