(COVINGTON)---St,. Tammany Parish President Kevin Davis announced today (Tuesday, January 6) that he is withdrawing his effort to seek the Parish Council's support in running for a fourth term in office. In a statement released moments ago, President Davis said that he asked the Council to withdraw any consideration of the proposition that would allow him to seek office for an additional term as parish president. "I want to thank the many citizens who encouraged me to submit my name for consideration. I appreciate all of your support," said Davis. "There is much work to be done in St. Tammany Parish in the coming three years and I will devote myself to accomplishing as much as I am able."
