(COVINGTON)---St. Tammany Parish officials say that all storm debris must be ready for pickup no later than Monday morning, October 13. They add that the guidelines remain the same. Green debris and construction debris must be separated. All debris must be brought to the side of the street. The officials remind residents that contractors are only allowed to remove storm debris and cannot go on private property to remove the trash. They say that green debris, such as tree-trimming and cutting, is not considered to be storm debris and the property owner is responsible for disposal. As always, they remind property owners that they should keep fire hydrants, drainage ditches, and road sight-lines clear of trash. |
