(SLIDELL)---An 18-year-old Slidell man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl, according to the Slidell Police Department.

Slidell Police Capt. Kevin Foltz reports that 18-year-old Brandon Dolliole has been charged with aggravated rape in connection with an incident that occurred sometime during the January-February time frame this year.

Capt. Foltz says that the incident was reported to Slidell Police on Tuesday, July 29. He says that the victim, a 12-year-old girl, told detectives that she was forced to have oral sex with Dolliole. The captain adds that further investigation led to an arrest warrant charging Dolliole with aggravated rape.

Capt. Foltz says that detectives arrested Dolliole on Friday, August 8, and that he could face up to life imprisonment if he is convicted.
