(SLIDELL)---St. Tammany Parish Government officials say they want the public to have the chance to view the new FEMA Flood Maps for the parish. They say there will be an open house for the public on Thursday, September 11, from noon until 8 p.m. at the St. Tammany Parish Permits Department at 61134 Military Road in Slidell. As for any questions the public may have about the maps, officials say FEMA and parish permits representatives will be available to discuss possible changes in the flood zone designations. They emphasize that these are the preliminary maps issued by FEMA and will affect several areas within St. Tammany Parish. |
