(SLIDELL)---The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a suspect who allegedly robbed a pizza delivery driver in the Slidell area.

St. Tammany Sheriff's Office Capt. George Bonnett reports that the suspect is described as a black male, approximately six feet tall, wearing a black shirt and dark pants with a white cloth wrapped around his face at the time of the robbery.

The robbery happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, on Brookter Street in the Slidell area. Capt. Bonnett says that the victim, a pizza delivery driver, told deputies that he was walking back to his vehicle when an unidentified black male, armed with a handgun, jumped from behind a bush and robbed him.

Capt. Bonnett adds that after taking an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect then walked south on Brookter Street. He adds that deputies and troopers with State Police Troop L searched the area, but could not locate the suspect.

Capt. Bonnett says that if anyone knows anything about the suspect or the robbery, he or she should call Detective Keith Canizaro at 985.809.6529.
