(METAIRIE)---A news conference has been called for Thursday, July 24, at the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway offices in Metairie regarding the appointment of a new chief of the Causeway Police.

The news conference is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Causeway officials say that the report of the Advisory Panel concerning the search for a new police chief will be discussed.
