(MANDEVILLE)---The search is on for the suspect in connection with the armed robbery of employees at a Mandeville drive-in restaurant, according to the Mandeville Police Department. Mandeville Police Capt. Ron Ruple reports that the suspect is a white male, approximately 25 years of age, weighing 230 pounds, with short brown hair in a flat-top style. Capt. Ruple adds that he was armed with a handgun, wearing a black, Sean-John brand tee-shirt with gold lettering, blue jeans, and brown boots. The robbery happened at around 1 a.m. on Monday, June 30, at a drive-in in the 4600 block of LA 22 in Mandeville. Capt. Ruple says that the suspect confronted the employees as they were closing the business. He says that the suspect demanded that the safe be opened, but opted for money from the cash register and the employees when he realized the safe could not be opened. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction. Capt. Ruple requests that if anyone knows anything about the robbery or the suspect, he or she should call the Mandeville Police Department at 985.626.9711. |
