(ST. TAMMANY)---Louisiana State Police Troop L reports that a Lacombe man is dead after a one-vehicle accident on LA 36 where the victim apparently was ejected from the vehicle. State Police TFC Louis Calato reports that 29-year-old Nicholas R. Girard was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Tammany Parish Coroner's Office. The accident occurred shortly after 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2. TFC Calato says that Gerard was apparently traveling westbound on LA 36 and lost control of the Jeep he was driving. TFC Calato adds that the Jeep began to flip in the roadway, ejecting Gerard from the vehicle. TFC Calato says that alcohol involvement is not suspected in the accident. |
