(COVINGTON)---The former Chief Administrative Officer for St. Tammany Parish, William Oiler, will be resuming his previous duties as CAO after withdrawing his letter of resignation that had earlier been accepted, according to St. Tammany Parish President Kevin Davis. Davis reports that Oiler, who had been CAO for the parish since February 26, 2001, resigned for personal reasons on June 30. He added that Oiler requested that the letter of resignation be withdrawn. Davis says he honored that request and Oiler will resume his previous duties immediately. "I am very grateful to President Davis for allowing me to return to the Parish," said Oiler. "I was able to resolve the personal issues that prompted my resignation letter and feel that I will be able to fulfill the responsibilities of CAO. It is a tremendous honor to work for St. Tammany Parish Government under President Davis' leadership." During the period between the letter of resignation and the request to withdraw the letter, both Davis and Assistant CAO Kim Salter shared the CAO duties. |
