| Slidell man arrested in connection with the aggravated rape of a three-year-old »
(LACOMBE)---Two Slidell men have been arrested and charged in connection with a case where they allegedly entered an occupied house waving a handgun, fled in what turned out to be a stolen vehicle, and were arrested a short time later, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office. St. Tammany Capt. George Bonnett reports that 20-year-old Michael T. Young and 19-year-old Brian Keith Johnson, Jr. have been charged with aggravated burglary, auto theft, and cruelty to a juvenile. The incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, at a residence on Zelda Drive in Lacombe. Capt. Bonnet says that the victim told deputies that the two suspects, later identified as Young and Johnson, Jr., entered her residence armed with a handgun while her six-year-old child was home. He says the victim said that one of them made an unspecified demand and then fled in a black Lexus. Armed with the description of the vehicle, Capt. Bonnett says that deputies located the vehicle traveling west on U. S. 190, with one of the suspects tossing a gun from the vehicle. Capt. Bonnett says that detectives were able to retrieve the weapon and that deputies successfully stopped the vehicle, which they later learned was allegedly stolen from the mother of Young's girlfriend. Capt. Bonnett adds that both Young and Johnson, Jr. admitted to deputies their involvement in the incident. |
