(NEW ORLEANS)---A federal grand jury has indicted a Slidell man on child pornography charges even as he is in custody for possible immigration violations, according to U. S. Attorney Jim Letten. Letten reports that if convicted, 32-year-old Agegnehu Tsega faces a maximum penalty of 10 years, up to a lifetime term of supervised release, a $250,000 fine, and required registration as a sex offender. According to Letten, the indictment alleges that on March 25, Tsega possessed computer hard drives and computer media containing visual depictions of a minor engaging in sexually-explicit conduct. Letten adds that Tsega is currently in custody for possible immigration violations, as well. |
