(ROBERT)---An Abita Springs man has died, and a Texas teenager was injured, in a two-vehicle accident on LA 445 near the I-12 on-ramp near Robert, according to Louisiana State Police. The accident occurred shortly after 8:10 p.m. on Friday, June 20, on LA 445 near I-12 in Tangipahoa Parish. State Police TFC Louis Calato reported that 64-year-old Marion Piper of Abita Springs was treated for severe injuries at a local hospital, but died on Sunday, June 22, at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero. A 16-year-old male from Quitman, Texas, was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
