(ALBANY)---The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office reports that two Hammond men have been arrested and charged in connection with the armed robbery of a store in the Albany area.
Livingston Parish Sheriff Willie Graves says that 22-year-old Michael Kevin Ruffin and 19-year-old Trion Wells have been charged with armed robbery. Bond has been set for each suspect at $500,000.
The sheriff says that on Wednesday, May 14, a lone gunman allegedly entered the store, located in the 19000 block of U. S. 190, and took approximately $3,000. Detectives developed information concerning the type of vehicle that was seen speeding from the area following the armed robbery.
Sheriff Graves says that shortly thereafter, deputies arrested Ruffin and Wells.
