A Slidell man has been arrested and charged in connection with a case where he allegedly was growing marijuana plants on his backyard porch.
20-year-old Jason A. Clark, of 2023 Tenth Street in Slidell, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana and on an outstanding probation violation warrant from the Slidell City Court.
Slidell Police Department officials report that officers received an anonymous tip that someone was possibly growing marijuana in his backyard. Officers went to the location and saw what they believed to be a marijuana plant growing on the back porch of the home. A search of the residence led to the recovery of five smaller plants and two larger plants, along with five individually-packed bags of marijuana.
Clark was then taken into custody and charged.
