Great food, entertainment, and family fun are only a part of the excitement building around the 2008 Lacombe Crab Fest, set for the weekend of Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29.
This year's seafood celebration will also debut the new 14,000-square-foot multi-use center on the grounds of John Davis Park in Lacombe. With three years in planning, the new center features a multi-sport gymnasium, offices, a meeting room, and concession area set for the public to see while enjoying great crab and gumbo dishes, entertainment, and fun for the children.
Hours for Saturday, June 28, are 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. On Sunday, June 29, the fun begins at noon and runs through 9 p.m. Admission for the Crab Fest is $3 per person until 5 p.m. each day and will increase to $5 for the evening entertainment. Those already in the park will not have to pay the extra evening fee. Children under the age of 10 get in free.
