(HAMMOND)---The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is offering a self-defense tactics and techniques course for women on Monday, March 2. It will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the TPSO, 15475 Club Deluxe Road in Hammond. Entitled the Rape Aggression Defense System, the class comes in several sessions, including awareness and prevention, basic principles of self-defense, the decision to resist, self-empowerment, the defensive mindset, and others.
