(SLIDELL)---The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has scheduled some road work to be done along the I-12 westbound overpass at I-55 near Hammond in Tangipahoa Parish.

Construction is set, weather permitting, for Wednesday, March 4.

Crews will be working 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.

The work - expansion joint removal -- will mean closure of the I-12 westbound right lane between the I-55 northbound on ramp and the I-55 southbound on ramp.

The DOTD recommends using U.S. 51 as an alternate route.
