(SLIDELL)---The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has scheduled some road work to be done along the I-59 from the Brownswitch Road Overpass to the Gause Blvd. Overpass in the Slidell area. Construction is set, weather permitting, from Monday, March 30, through Tuesday, March 31. It will be from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The work - the ever-popular bump grinding and blow-up repair -- will mean intermittent lane closures in both lanes westbound with 15 to 30 minute delays on the I-59. The DOTD suggests that taking U. S. 190 would be the best alternative route. |
