FEMA recommends homeowners acquire flood insurance

FEMA sent out a press release Thursday advocating that homeowners living inside and outside a high-risk flood area consider buying a flood insurance policy. For added measure, FEMA also sent along this link, which shows people how much it would cost to replace and repair a flood-damaged home, depending on the inches of floodwater.

Non-profit plans another playground renewal project
