Well, in his latest blog, he discusses the trade, where he was when it happened and what his thoughts were when it was voided. As always, Chandler gets it. He understands the 21st century and the tools that he can use to get his voice and opinion out. ...Remember the last time Tyson Chandler played a basketball game? It was in January -- mid-January. In fact, it was MLK Day. Well, he's ba-ack! Chandler is expected to play today, his first game since sustaining an ankle injury on Jan. 19. The Hornets are 7-9, not including the game he was injured in, since Chandler left the lineup. ...ESPN's John Hollinger has a daily NBA rating matrix. I'm sure you've seen it before. I know you have - I've posted his ratings in prior blogs. Anyway, the Hornets, despite a two-game skid, are still at No. 12. Considering they're playing with Tyson Chandler and Morris Peterson as well as having Hilton Armstrong with a sore back, I'd say that's not a bad thing. I...
FINAL The Hornets All-Star point guard put his team on his back, scoring 36 points, dishing out 10 assists and grabbing six rebounds to pace New Orleans to a 117-85 win over Eastern Conference contender Orlando. New Orleans' 117 points was a season high, eclipsing the 116 it scored in a win ov...
OK, we've all seen Chris Paul and his magic. In Sunday's All-Star game, the Hornets guard was in full form, providing many highlight opportunities for himself and other players. Unfortunately, NBA.com doesn't allow you to embed the video, so >> Continue reading: CP3 on NBA's mind: Hornets guard in half of league's top 10 plays The other WWL - ESPN is the World Wide Leader in sports, or so it claims - believes the Hornets are shopping center Tyson Chandler as a way to fit back into its salary pants. The belt, apparently, is a little too tight. ESPN's Marc Stein reports that the Hornets and Oklahoma City could be in talks about some swaps. To find the ... FINAL After going into the fourth quarter tied, Boston ripped off a 16-3 run to begin the final 12 minutes and cruised from there. And New Orleans couldn't do anything about it. The Hornets fell 89-77 Wednesday night at New Orleans Arena in front of 18,080 fans. ...A few sites have put out their power ratings already and the loss of Chris Paul, along with a four-game skid that recently ended, shows that the Hornets are, at best, a little better than average right now. Athlon Sports has New Orleans coming in at No. 10. ESPN's 'Hollinger Ratings'<... FINAL Only this time, the Hornets picked up the win without the 3-pointers. New Orleans took an early lead, lost it for much of the game and then took it towards the end before holding on for a 101-97 win over Minnesota. Friday night against Toronto, New Orleans tied a franchise record with 15 3-pointers. O... Final Luckily for New Orleans, the 3-point shot is legal. And it took full advantage of that fact, nailing 15 3-pointers to help the Hornets overcome a 8-point deficit with 6:54 to play in the game. First Rasual Butler hit a trey. Then James Posey. Then Butler... Ryan Bowen will start for the Hornets tonight against the Raptors, Head Coach Byron Scott said Friday morning before the team's shoot around. Bowen hasn't started yet this season and has played in only six games. But his minutes have been creeping up the past few weeks. The reason? Scott said he likes Bowen's energy and hustle. "The thing we know about RB is he's going to play hard," Scott said. "Even when he's bent ove... Final They're not the ones he was looking for, however. New Orleans played little defense and the offense was out of sync without Chris Paul and the Hornets fell 107-93 to the Chicago Bulls. The Hornets shot 36.2 percent while allowing Chicago to make 56.2 percent of its shots. Every Bulls starter scored in double figures, led by Derrick Rose's 21 points. Da... |
