Welcome to another fine edition of the Buzz, our couple times a week aggregation for your Hornets' hunger. It's still preseason so there's still not a lot out there about this city's beloved round ball team. But that doesn't mean there's nothing out there. In fact, there will be a Hornets story on wwltv.com a little later in the day. So, away we go.... Blogs are a good way to get noticed if you want your voice out there. Of course, another way to get noticed is to throw something crazy out there, such as Cleveland going after Chris Paul. Say what? Yep, there's a guy out there advocating that it wouldn't be difficult to get Paul to the Cavs. Tell that to the Shinns. Meanwhile, it should be known that the Hornets get their preseason underway tonight in Atlanta. Ken Trahan at neworleans.com says things will be a little dicey right now, what with Emeka Okafor and Ike Diogu not scheduled to play while recovering from minor injuries. Over at the Sporting News, Bethlehem Shoals isn't too high on New Orleans' offseason moves. Shoals breaks down every teams' offseason. At espn.com, John Hollinger believes Chris Paul is the league's most valuable player. Period. Here's one thing that will be seared in your memory forever: Darren Collison and Marcus Thornton singing. Yep, it's rookie hazing time. However, John Reid at the T-P says they're showing their potential on the court. Joshua Parrott of the Lafayette Advertiser says prior to playing at LSU, Thornton almost became a Ragin' Cajun. |
