Apparently the folks at ESPN feel the drafting of Chris Paul by the Hornets ranks as one of the greatest picks ever. Using a ton of data, and compiling a list that only the stoutest of stats geeks could love, "Tom Haberstroh came up with a list of the average value of each draft pick dating back to 1989. He then took each player's EWA (estimated win added stat) and calculated how much better or worse he performed relative to what should have been expected (eEWA). To calculate eEWA, he averaged the EWA of all the players taken at each spot since 1989," says Matt Meyers from ESPN Magazine. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

I guess based on EWA (Estimated Wins Added) he is. It's only a statistic that someone came up with. Doesn't mean he's better than or worse than any other players OVERALL.
