The New Orleans Hornets announced Thursday the flagship station in New Orleans will change radio dials to KMEZ 106.7 FM (formerly 102.9 FM) and the Baton Rouge flagship station will now be WCDV 103.3 FM. The team has also signed agreements with 18 other radio stations across the states of Louisiana and Mississippi to broadcast Hornets games for the 2008-09 season. Fans in New Orleans can catch all home and away pre-season, regular season and post-season games on 106.7. The broadcast team is anchored by Sean Kelley, who will begin his fourth season as the team's play-by-play voice. Veteran color analyst Gerry Vaillancourt starts his 19th season with the Hornets and will sit next to Kelley. Joe Block returns for his second season as studio host and will host all pre-game and post-game radio shows. The "Hornets OT" post-game show will broadcast live from Ernst Café directly following Hornets home games. "Hornets Sportsline" with Gerry V will start on Thursday, Oct. 2 and will air every Thursday from 7-8 p.m. throughout the season on 106.7 and on most affiliate stations. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

I love listening to the games when the Hornets play on the road, so this sounds like a great deal. When the team plays at home, sometimes I will get my transistor radio and headphones out so I can listen in. Of course, I wouldn't be able to do this unless I had already purchased my Hornets 2008-09 season tickets by calling 504-525-HOOP.
