New Orleans began the quarter hot, keeping San Antonio off the board until 7:36 remained in the first. And then San Antonio picked up its game (which, by the way, happened when Manu Ginobili came in the game) and the Hornets went cold. New Orleans finished the quarter shooting 41.7 percent while the Spurs ended 50 percent. Ginobili was 4-for-4, and 3-for-3 from 3-point range and has 11 points. The Spurs have six treys in the game, and are 60 percent. Meanwhile, Chris Paul picked up his first basket with less than a second remaining. And New Orleans has only two 3-pointers. And then there's this. Super Hugo and the Hornets decided it would be a good idea to have him dunk the ball through a hoop on fire. Well, he did it. Unfortunately, they couldn't get the hoop to extinguish. And now the court is full of flame retardant. Can you say game delay? Also, there's no way they try this stunt again. Super Hugo will not get another change to dunk through a hoop on fire. But hey, at least he made it. Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich isn't exactly happy. He appears to be asking the officials to give the Hornets a technical foul. This is comedy, folks. They can't get the floor cleaned off. It's still full of the powder that puts the fire out. Um, oops? Ooh, and now we get kiss cam. This is brilliant. |
