I'd been wondering, since hearing Gregg Popovich's two post-game press conferences and reading an account of an exchange he had with a New Orleans media member during the off day, whether I had missed something the past decade. Had I missed the NBA's version of Bobby Knight with the media?

Apparently not. Mike Finger of the San Antonio News Express details Pop's dealings with the media and his team and calls it the my way or highway type of relationship. His player Brent Barry puts it more succinctly and uses a word I'd rather not put in print.

I guess when you win as much as he has, boorish behavior is tolerated, but at least the Pop admits it.
