Hornets-Spurs Gm.6 2nd Qtr

8:32 in the 2nd... the hornets are turning the Spurs into jumpshooters again this game...but the champs are making almost everything they throw up. Made shots are like offensive rebounds... they keep the Bees from getting transistion.

And the Hornets are tyring to make the guys that usually don't make shots shoot them... Parker's making jumpers, the Spurs are tough to guard when he can hit from t he outside.

Do you think the Spurs will stay this hot?

Look at that... 6:17... a few misses and some phantom foul calls against the Spurs led to some fastbreak points capped by a Mo Pete 3. Popovich quickly calls time out. He's getting pretty red. Not sure, but after his comments following game 5 about the lack of fouls called in his favor, I'd assume the last few minutes that included two fouls on the Spurs have him a little hot under the collar.

58-51 at the Half... good quarter for the Bees... could have been better, but they forgot to guard Manu. Each team has three players in double digits. Fun fact... only once this series has the the team with the lead at halftime won the game.

Will that trend continue... what do you think the final score will be?

By the way... for halftime the Spurs have a dude in a giant iron cylinder doing tricks rolling up and down the floor. Tell me how that doesn't scratch up the surface. Although, there is no need for a fire extinguisher for this performance.

Where do they come up with these acts? What on earth did these guys do before halftime shows? Are halftime acts considered the minor leagues of circus acts or vice versa?

I'm hoping for a 3rd Quarter like in Game 5. I think I will wait for Ringling Brothers Barnum Bailey circus before I watch one of those half time shows. :)
