Buck Harvey of the San Antonio Express News draws no conclusions about Robert Horry's shot to David West's already ailing back other than to say after last year's 'dip of the hip' to Steve Nash, Horry won't be getting the benefit of the doubt. 6 CommentsLeave a comment |

Basketball worse than football by far with officiating and nothing is done. Home teams win all of the time in basketball. Officials are beyond a doubt the deciding factor in the outcome of the game. I am not a fan of basketball for the most part but do like to watch the playoffs.
playoff games need to be played in a neutral court. officials from high school would do a better job then those that have an interest in the outcome of the game.
Professional sports in general in trouble because of the officiating and lack of accountability of calls obviously made with flagrent error.
The way that the Spurs got away with that cheap cheat shot on West last night just verifies to me that ALL PROFESSIONAL sports are rigged.
There is too much money involved for it to be legitimate!
HONESTLY, are we REALLY to believe that ONLY 1 NBA ref in the whole world is crooked and throws games?
IF we had taken such a cheap cheat shot on one of the Spur's players - our player would have been ejected from the game.

The spurs have several DIRTY players and cry babies on their team. Let's start with the DIRTY players, remember Bruce Bowen kicked Chris Paul while he was the floor, next, Robert "Horrible" Horry cheap shot to David West and let's not forget the cheap shot on Steve Nash. OK, let's talk about the cry babies, you cant touch Tim Duncan without him complaining to the referees, for instance, he called a offensive file on David West and the referree gave it to him. Hmmmmmmm! Robert Horry should have been ejected from the game and suspended for the next playoff game and did Bruce Bowen. Get ready for game 7 in New Orleans, bye bye DIRTY Spurs!
Is there anyone from San Antonio who can say that David West wasn't intentionally pushed? If there is I would love to hear there BS argument.
Okay, here's my BS argument, Drew; the foul was a hard one, true, but not any worse than the foul on Parker from Chandler the game before, and I don't think Horry committed the foul with the intention of putting West out of the game (only Horry knows for sure). To missmaniac666, let's be honest. The Hornets do just as much crying as the Spurs do. It's the playoffs, survival is on the line, every player on the court is fighting to win, and they all believe they got fouled. I agree with you that the officiating is rigged, and I dread game 7 for that reason; I'm sure that when the game is over the Spurs will have gotten to the line a lot less than the Hornets. 'Home cooking' has been a factor for the entire playoffs, and not just for the Spurs-Hornets series. Finally, I salute your team: the Hornets are a great team, a more than worthy opponent, and I like the players. If the Hornets win I will be cheering for them in game 7, but here's hoping all you Hornet fans will be crying and moaning come Tuesday morning.
