CP3 was 2-of-9 in the 1st half, he hits his first three point attempt of the second half. A sign of things to come?

Paul seems lethargic tonight, not assertive. Driving lanes are there and he can beat any of the Mavs defenders off the dribble, but he seems to be trying too hard to get others involved. The Hornets have just two fast break points as of the 9:38 mark of the 3rd.

2:22 left in 3rd, Mavs up 70-59. The defensive effort Dallas is putting up this quarter is pretty tough. Brandon Bass is making David West earn every bucket he gets. West is strong, Bass is just as strong. The pick and roll is non-existent for the Hornets this game. The alley oop is as well. Byron Scott called this series a chess match between he and Avery. As far as game three is concerned, it's just about check mate.

End of three, Mavs 74 Hornets 63... the Mavs shot 22 Free Throws in the quarter. They made 15. The Hornets went 7-of-7 form the line in the third.
