Despite owning a 15-point lead at halftime, the Hornets couldn't put this one away in the third quarter, which could be worrisome to some. New Orleans has really owned the third quarter of late. Is this a sign that Dallas is coming out of its shell?

Let's see what Scott Cody, sitting to my left, has to say:
"Honestly, the Mavs came out in the third quarter and were more aggressive. But the Hornets are still up 8 heading into the fourth quarter. It'll be interesting to see if they play not to lose or to stick a fork in them. If you can open up with a quick little run, it's over."

What do I have to say?

The Hornets need to keep the foot on the pedal. That's what I have to say. No reason to gamble and let the Mavs stay in this game.
