Sports Illustrated's web site says the NBA won't suspend the Mavs Jason Kidd for Game 5 Thursday night in New Orleans Arena.

Kidd was assessed a flagrant-2 technical for a play where he appeared to grab Jannero Pargo by the neck and throw him to the ground.

Jason Kidd should have been suspended if only for the fact that it would send a message to other players in the NBA that that kind of play won't be tolerated.
