Hornets rise in power rankings; second to Celtics in most

Marc Stein of ESPN has the the Hornets 2nd in the power rankings to the Celtics. Yes, the Hornets did beat Boston, but the Celts have been mighty darned impressive, and have owned the West. One slipup to the Hornets can be forgiven, now, if the Hornets beat them again this week...

NBA.com also has the Hornets second after recent wins over teams 1,4,5 and 6. However, a road swing that includes most of the East's best (Boston, Cleveland and Orlando) will be a real test, especially since the Hornets have now sort of reversed their topsy-turvy record by having a real home-court advantage and a little more trouble winning on the road.
