The New York Times, in an article on the Hornets, quotes Byron Scott as saying there is always an excuse as to why people don't attend games in New Orleans. 5 CommentsLeave a comment |

I am tired of Byron Scott's negative comments about the fans in this city. He had negative remarks when the team left to play in Oklahoma. If he does not like this city he should opt out his contract and go and coach another team. People are trying to reconnect to the Hornets after a two year absence. The fans will come if given time. He needs to keep his mouth shut and just coach the team. We are aware the the fans need to show more support to keep the hornets in town.
I dont think Byron Scott comments are negative at all basically you guys have a good product on the floor and the division leaders, the momentum of a pack house could carry your team far into the playoffs and possibly into the finals. You guys have two All Stars on the Hornets roster and it is no excuses for not filling that Arena, you guys had no problem reconnecting with the Saints infact the Saints was sold out even before the season started. The Hornets are out there winning representing the city of New Orleans and it is about time the City of New Orleans start representing the Hornets. Plus they are doing a remarkable job helping out the City after Katrina. Peace from California Cares and a New Orleans Native.
just when fans were starting to warm up to scott (and the hornets), he does his best to antagonize us once again.
just shut you damn mouth byron. for the love of god.
Byron Scott needs to shut up and coach his team and stop making such negative comments. He was an idiot when he commented about not coming back to N.O. two seasons ago and he's an idiot now for making those comments when fan support is low enough now as it. I will still go to the games, but he needs to take a step back and be more supportive of the city and the fan base they have.
New Orleans citizens are continueing their typical close minded/blind ways. They flock to see a loser but call down the leader of a WINNING franchise. Toostupid to know what is good for them because it's not like it was and we want it to be like it was crying. Get the ^&*% over it and move on. New Orleans can be great again but different and if the people here are too immature to accept that well too bad for them. They do hate to hear the truth. Coach Scott is correct. They are putting a winning product on the floor and all we can say is we are still recovering from Katrina crying. But the Dome was full this past season. Funny how recovery only comes to play when defending idiocracy! Go Hornets and when you finally leave town I will continue to follow your progress. A professional team with quality character...yeah how can we support that!
