As most people, I am not a FANatic about anything. I do like to see a good game occasionally. Having heard how good the Hornets are doing and, as I live on the North Shore, the only way to see a Hornets game is in person. I went on line to see about getting tickets. The tickets are sold by Ticketmaster. Even though Ticketmaster is acting as an agent of the Hornets and for their convenience, guess who they charge the commission to and then charge for "convenience". My 2 $30.00 tickets ultimately cost $77.00. I think a 57% surcharge is obnoxious. It's no wonder the Hornets have trouble selling tickets. When I finally got an email confirmation from Ticketmaster, there was a link on the confirmation to tell me about the "will call" process. Instead of telling me about the specifics of the Hornets' will call, they had a paragraph giving vague information about will-calls in general. I still don't know where the Hornet's will call window is located and what it's hours are. I called the contact number for Ticketmaster in New Orleans. After a short conversation with their agent, I discovered that she didn't know either. I also found out that she was in Texas. I did get a "box office" phone number from her of 504-587-3822 which I called and didn't get any answer.
May I suggest that the Hornets stop complaining about low attendance and start cleaning up their act in the PR and customer service areas.
