Individual tickets for all Hornets regular season home games go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets at Hornets.com, by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX, at the New Orleans Arena box office and at all TicketMaster outlets. This is the first opportunity fans have to purchase individual tickets to key match-ups against the Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics. Fans are encoura... The Hornets are doing something different this year for training camp. They're spending the first week in Lafayette, La., as has been reported. Practices are generally closed to the public. But on Saturday, Byron Scott is opening the scrimmage for fans. There were 850 tickets to be handed out. They all went in 30 minutes. You think the Hornets have a fan base around the state? ...We all know the story of the Hornets from last season. After a push into the upper echelon of the NBA in 2007-08, the Hornets fell back to Earth in 08-09. The players wanted something different, a bonding experience.
