Has there been a better pop culture nickname for a baseball player than Kevin Youklis being called 'Youkon Cornelius' by the sports bloggers? Not only does he resemble the character from "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," but his name is so similar sounding...fun stuff for a dork like me who needs even more reasons to love the Red Sox and its players.
Anyways...here's a Sports Illustrated write-up on Youk's triumphs over the years. Classic 'chip-on-the-shoulder' guy. Baseball needs more guys like him and David Eckstein in the world. Read more.
