Sunset Point Fishing Pier Reopens in Mandeville
July 13, 2007
I just got off the phone with Mandeville Mayor Eddie Price who told me that the massive public fishing pier at Sunset Point, which was destroyed by Katrina and has been closed for almost two years, will officially be opened at 5 a.m. Saturday morning. The pier will be lighted, open to fishing only--no crabbing!--and be available 24/7. Oh, yeah...and the fish are biting!!
