175 Is The Trestle Hotspot!

September 15, 2006

If you like to fish Lake Pontchartrain as much as I do, and you want to be assured that you'll get in some good fishing action, launch on either north shore or south shore and head straight to Railroad Marker 175. Kenny Kreeger reminded me recently that the redish--and some really bragging size redfish at that!--have been holding at that location for several weeks. Hint--live shrimp, Carolina rig, right on the bottom, and just let it sit! Don't catch 'em all, okay? ---Frank D
