Payton: Team has turned no corner

October 14, 2007

Following the game, head coach Sean Payton would have nothing of any talk of the team 'turning the corner.'

'There is no corner,' he said tersely. 'We're 1-4. We won one game and that's a good step.'

Why in the world did Peyton keep giving the ball to Bush in the 2nd half when it was clear Seattle had his number and Bush wasn't getting any yards?

They have indeed turned a corner: Seattle was the team the Saints were supposed to play AND BEAT in the NFC Champiinship that should have been held in the Superdome. Trouble is, Seattle couldn't get past the Bears like they were supposed to. Now we've played and won that game. The Saints can now move on and play like the way they showed us last year!!
