An area of low pressure off the North Carolina coast will continue to give Hampton Roads cool and damp weather Monday. The low pressure center will slowly pull away from the coast, but the moist north to northeast flow will bring a chance of light rain and drizzle over the eastern half of the area. There could be a few breaks in the clouds in western Hampton Roads. Highs will be in the upper 50s to near 60. The prolonged north to northeast winds, combined with the approaching full moon, will mean tides Monday morning will run 1 ½ to 2 feet above normal. A weak front will move through the area Tuesday, and high pressure will build in, providing partly to mostly sunny skies for the rest of the work-week. Highs on Tuesday will be in the lower to mid 60s, and on Wednesday in the upper 50s. |
