Mother Nature put on quite a show for some of us... We had strong storms move through the area. There was lightning, hail, even a water spout spotted on the Chesapeake Bay. There were also plenty of problems with flooding as so much rain fell so quickly. Almost 2 1/2 inches fell in Norfolk and Virginia Beach. That was at our official reporting stations; some spots got double that amount. We'll have a chance for a isolated storms again this afternoon and evening...and again on Saturday. The heat is also going to be a story. For Friday we'll be in the mid to upper 80s, and make it into the mid 90s on Saturday. |
