The normal high this time of year is 85°. We will be pretty close to that today, maybe a degree or two cooler. Changes are coming. Highs for the following six days will be near or above normal. Over that period, some parts of the region could find highs in the lower to mid 90s. Skies will be partly sunny today and there will be a slight chance of a stray shower or storm this afternoon. Tomorrow will be hot, with afternoon temperatures reaching 90°. Skies tomorrow should be mostly sunny. Friday looks to be even warmer. We still have a moderate risk of rip currents at the oceanfront. The UV index is 7. Waves in the surf zone are averaging 2 to 3 feet. |
