Highs today will climb into the mid 80s across the region as a warm front lifts northward. The winds will be fairly light from the south at five to ten miles per hour. You can expect mostly to partly sunny skies today with a low risk of a shower or storm this afternoon or early evening, mainly in North Carolina. The south winds will continue for the next 36 hours and the temperatures will be even warmer tomorrow reaching the upper 80s. With the increasing temperatures and higher humidity, we will have a pretty good shot at isolated to scattered showers or storms tomorrow afternoon. We should catch another break on Wednesday, but isolated to scattered showers or storms will be possible through the upcoming weekend. Good news if you like cooler weather... Highs Saturday and Sunday should be closer to 80°. |
