Today was an interesting day weatherwise, especially during the afternoon and evening. First a severe thunderstorm watch was issued for parts of the area but instead of severe storms we saw a line of activity that was working it's way toward us weaken and then completely die out. Then, during the evening, after the watch was cancelled, a new line of storms formed and while they were not severe they have been holding together as they move toward us. That means a few areas late tonight may see a storm even though that isn't a favored time of day for thunderstorm development. During the day expect more of the same with heat and humidity combining with a weak approaching upper level system to trigger a good chance for more scattered afternoon or evening storms. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
